Vol.3.Teruka Ogawa’s 1st Anniversary Gathering finished last night.

Anniversary gathering vol.3 was about [East & West, summer romantic stories discussion].

It was not only summer or romantic stories but
we discussed all seasons and stories in general.
.
It was beautiful to talk about popular stories in Japan and Europe and know historical, geographical, religious, and cultural backgrounds are different and affect our perceptions.

We discussed :
From political, geological, and religious points of view, we considered the complicated factors of heroic stories of European countries.
.
How does the perception of impermanence affect people’s minds about each county and love stories?
What is common and uncommon about having the concept of impermanence?
.
What Japanese emotional and spiritual sensitivity affects Japanese mentality and romantic stories?
And traditional dances?
.
Etc…
It was a wonderful and learning-full gathering!

It was interesting to find out the differences in our perception and sensibility for sensual, sexual, and spiritual beauty or the ways of understanding ambiguous contexts.
I will remember these points whenever I communicate and tell Japanese culture and dance.
