In the previous post, I wrote about online Kamigatamai lessons: Ume/beginners’ class.

In this article, I’m going to write details about classes of Dances with music.

Here is about Tehodoki-basics.

・・・・・

梅/Ume class is for people who have never tried Japanese traditional dance before or beginners.

Contents of Ume class is like this:

1.Tehodoki-basics (knowledge and basics)
2.dance with music(no props)
3.dance with music(with a dancing fan)
4.dance with music (with a dancing parasol)
5.dance with music(with 2 dancing fans)
 ~Dance Exam ~

・・・・

・・・・

<Classes>

Basics will be 6~7 classes, around 2~2.5 hours in total.

4 dances with music, each song will be 8~10 classes, around 2.5~3 hours in total.

8~10 classes are rough indications, so if you do not remember or want me to check the choreography etc, you can add more classes.

Group lesson starts from 2 classes (40 minutes)
The individual lesson starts from 1 class (20 minutes)

<Place >

 It’s an online lesson, so you can learn from your home.

If you join from your home, it’d be better to have 200cm × 350cm spaces to practice. (2~3 tatami floormats )

 When you go on to dances, I will send the music, so please listen to it well.

<Dance and props>

You will learn 4 songs, but you do not need to have any props for the first one.
So, you can feel at ease to join if you don’t have fans nor parasols right now.

<Exam>

Start from Tehodoki basics, after 4 songs, you can have an exam.

If you pass the exam, you will be the Ogawa and can teach the 4 songs you learn.

<Dance Party >

Depends on the progress, members of the Ume class will have dance parties 3~4 times a year.

In this situation, it’ll be online so far, but fingers crossed for real gatherings!!

<Payment >

The payment is monthly/pre-payment, and you can choose how many times you’ll learn in a month.

So, you can start once a month ♪
