~Dance Exam ~
・・・・
For beginners and people who try Japanese traditional dance for the first time, the class starts with Tehodoki-basics (knowledge and basics) so that you can get familiar with Japanese traditions step by step.
<Classes>
Basics will be 6~7 classes, around 2~2.5 hours in total.
6~7 classes are rough indications, so if you do not remember etc, you can add more classes.
Group lesson starts from 2 classes (40 minutes)
The individual lesson starts from 1 class (20 minutes)
In Tehodoki classes, you will learn:
Pieces of knowledge about
・Kamigatamai and Ogawa school
・Tips to learn and be part of the Japanese traditional art world.
Etc…
Fundamental movements about
・How to move wearing kimonos
・How to walk wearing kimonos in a room
・How to sit & stand up wearing kimonos
・Principle posture of Japanese traditional dance
・Principle movement of Japanese traditional dance
Etc…
So, please do not worry if you do not have kimonos nor props right now.
If you have already been thinking of getting a kimono or props, please feel free to ask during Tehodoki basic classes.
(I’ll hold Kamigatamai online class Q & A gathering, so please ask me about anything for the class at the time ♪)
<Place >
It’s an online lesson, so you can learn from your home.
If you join from your home, it’d be better to have 200cm × 350cm spaces to practice. (2~3 tatami floormats )
<Payments>
The payment is monthly/pre-payment, and you can choose how many times you’ll learn in a month.
So, you can consider if you want to continue dance lessons and buy kimonos and props during Tehodoki basic classes.
If you have any questions now, please send an e-mail via Contact or send a message on Teruka Ogawa’s messenger!
In the next post, I’ll write about after Tehodoki classes, dance with music.
